Updates & OAuth
How the hosted connector stays current, when you need a new chat or reconnect, and how sign-in works. Endpoint: https://memory.keynodex.com/mcp
Most updates are automatic
Keynodex Memory is a hosted remote MCP server. After you connect once, the next tool call uses our current production software. Improvements to existing tools, bug fixes, and your stored memories apply without disconnecting. You do not reinstall a local package for each release.
When you might need a new chat or reconnect
Some AI clients cache the list of tools. If we add, rename, or remove tools, or if the client still shows an old tool list, start a new chat first. If tools are still missing or fail oddly, disconnect the connector and connect again (Settings → Connectors for Claude). That refreshes the client’s view of the server — it is not required after every small fix.
OAuth and sign-in
Sign-in uses Google with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE. There is no long-lived API key for the consumer product. Complete consent once per client (or when we ask you to re-authenticate after an auth change). Always confirm the consent screen shows your expected email and plan before approving. Billing and plan changes stay on the website (memory.keynodex.com/billing), never as chat purchases.
Empty store or wrong account
If tools work but the store looks empty or unfamiliar, you may be signed in with a different Google account than the one that holds your memories. Disconnect, reconnect, and pick the correct Google identity. Ask the assistant for account status (email, plan, memory count) to verify.
Version numbers
Product versions (for example 0.2.2) track software releases. Agents and humans can read the current version from https://keynodex.com/releases/memory/latest.json. Listing Keynodex Memory in Claude’s directory is distribution — it does not by itself change the version. Release notes may still say “reconnect if you do not see new tools” after tool-surface ships.

Updates FAQ
01
Do I need to reconnect every time Keynodex ships an update?
No. Hosted updates to existing tools apply on the next tool call. Reconnect only if new tools never appear, auth fails, or support asks you to re-authenticate.
02
Why does my assistant not see a brand-new tool?
Many clients cache the tool catalog. Start a new chat; if needed, disconnect and reconnect Keynodex Memory. Your memories stay on our servers — reconnect refreshes the client, not a reinstall of your data.
03
Is Keynodex Memory on Claude’s Connectors Directory?
Yes. It is listed as Keynodex Memory (slug keynodex-memory) under Community connectors. Prefer installing from the directory; the MCP URL https://memory.keynodex.com/mcp remains valid for custom connectors and other clients.
